Newport Beach CERT volunteers,
The City of Newport Beach is hosting a Public Safety Day event on Saturday, May 20 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Newport Beach Fire Station #3 and the Newport Beach Police Department headquarters. The event is free of charge and open to all Newport Beach residents. The event will have activities and interactive booths from Newport Beach Fire, Lifeguards and Police. All CERT volunteers are encouraged to bring their families and stop by the event and to wear their CERT green vests. We are in need of 15-20 CERT volunteers that would like to volunteer to work the event. If you would like to volunteer to assist at Public Safety Day, we need CERT volunteers from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the minimum volunteer shift being three hours. CERT volunteers will be staffing the Fire Department CERT booth as well as assisting with other logistical needs. If you are interested in volunteering to assist, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the times that you would like to volunteer. If you would like to attend the event but cannot commit to a three hour volunteer shift, don't worry about it, put on your green vest and come enjoy the event for as long as you can.
