Dave Webb became the City of Newport Beach’s public works director in August 2012. Dave has over 21 years of diverse experience in public administration, management and engineering.
As the public works director, Dave oversees the City’s $66.9 million Capital Improvement Program, civil and traffic engineering, water quality and conservation and harbor resources. His team is committed to protecting and providing quality public improvements and services.
Prior to joining the City, Dave had experience in municipal and private design and construction, including land development and entitlement processing. He was the city engineer and deputy director of public works over the Utilities and Maintenance Operations with the City of Huntington Beach and worked in the private sector for several consulting firms.
Webb holds a Master Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is also licensed as a Registered Professional Civil Engineer in California.
Dave is married with three children and lives in south Orange County.
