OPERA OUTSIDERS: A concert series at the Newport Beach Public Library
Join Diana Farrell, the Founder and Artistic Director of Lyric Opera of Orange County, and talented Lyric Opera singers in unique program examining the process of applying 4oo years of music to a modern stage, complete with secrets, sex, and scandals! In honor of Women's History Month, this first program will explore the operatic works of women, gender bending characters and voice types, and casting dilemmas for the modern audience.
