UPDATE: CITY HALL TO CLOSE TO THE PUBLIC BEGINNING JULY 13, 2020 IN RESPONSE TO RISING COVID-19 CASES

Newport Beach City Hall will be closed to the public beginning July 13, based on concerns for the health and safety of employees and the public as COVID-19 cases increase throughout the State and County of Orange.

Public Works Permit Counter Services

Public Works Permit information will be provided by telephone and email. Please call 949-644-3311 or pwinfo@newportbeachca.gov.  Staff will be available Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Friday, 7:30 to 4:00 pm.

Encroachment Permits

If you wish to apply for an encroachment permit, please complete the application and email with all supporting plans to PBWDevelopmentGroup@newportbeachca.gov.   Permit fees will be determined after review of the submitted information.  Payments must be made over the phone with a credit card.  Permits will be issued electronically.

Temporary Street and Sidewalk Closure Permits

If you wish to apply for a temporary street and sidewalk closure permit, please complete the application and email with all supporting traffic control plans to PBWDevelopmentGroup@newportbeachca.gov.   Permit fees will be determined after review of the submitted information.  Payments must be made over the phone with a credit card.  Permits will be issued electronically.  If “NO PARKING” signs are necessary, they will be made available for pick up at City Hall outside of Bay C.
