The Planning
Director approved the applicant’s request to establish
a granny unit in conjunction with an existing single-family dwelling. The
granny unit will contain approximately 634 square feet of living area and
provide a single-car garage parking space. In accordance with the provisions of
Chapter 20.85 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code. The unit shall be intended
for the sole occupancy of 1 or 2 persons who are at least 60 years in age. The property is located in the R-1-B
District.

The Planning Director approved the
applicant’s request to allow the establishment of a personal improvement
facility specializing in yoga. The facility will be located on the ground floor
in an existing commercial tenant space. No massage services are proposed with
this application. The property is located in the SP-5 (Mariner’s Mile Specific
Plan) District.
