What is Camp Newport?Camp Newport is a collection of week long camps that the City of Newport Beach Recreation & Senior Services Department hosts each summer, as well as key weeks during the year such as winter break, ski week, and spring break. The Recreation & Senior Services Department works throughout the year to find and maintain a list of qualified contract instructors who offer a diverse range of camps across the City. |
Where is Camp Newport held?Camp Newport is a collection of week long camps that the City of Newport Beach Recreation & Senior Services Department hosts each summer throughout the City at parks, beaches, and Community Centers. There are 4 staffed facilities you can register for camps (City Hall, Community Youth Center, Marina Park, and Newport Coast Community Center). Some camps may also be hosted at approved Newport-Mesa Unified School District sites. For a complete list of the parks and facilities distributed throughout the City, please click here. The maps on the Camp Locations tab are also available to to help you distinguish specific locations within some of our larger parks or facilities. Late Pick-Up Fee PolicyThere will be a $1 per minute per child charge for pick-ups occurring after the advertised camp ending time. Your late fee will be charged at the Recreation Front Desk using a credit card you have on file or you will be contacted for payment. When picking your child up, you will be asked to sign a Late Pick-Up Log. |
What to Bring to Camp
A list of specialized items to bring will be listed on your receipt after your transaction. The information below will help guide you on some basics that are required for all camps. You're encouraged to reach out to your instructor found on the Contact Us tab if you have any questions about specific camp needs or are seeking recommendations.
