Don Quixote for Kids

Saturday, March 25, 12 p.m., Civic Center Green

Join the gallant Don Quixote on his knightly quests across old-world Spain in Festival Ballet Theatre’s shortened rendition of this beloved ballet, based on the novel by Miguel Cervantes.

The Don Quixote ballet is an adventurous introduction to Spanish literature, music, culture, and history. Bring a picnic and your beach chairs for this special spring event. No alcohol is permitted. Parking and admission are free. This outdoor performance is supported by the City Arts Commission and will be held on the Civic Green.

Student Art Exhibition call for entries closes

CALLING ALL STUDENT ARTISTS!

The call for entries for the 2024 Newport Beach Student Art Exhibition closes on Friday, February 16, 2024.

   

The City of Newport Beach Arts Commission is please to announce the return of the Student Art Exhibition. This annual event is an opportunity for students grades pre-K through 12 to showcase their creativity.

Artists may submit one original work of art(two-dimensional format only) that will be displayed at the Newport Beach Central Library (1000 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach 92660) in mid April, 2024.

Jurors will select winning entries and awards will be distributed in the form of gift card prizes.

 

 

The call for entries opens Monday, January 8 until Friday, February 16. Entries must be submitted in person to the Newport Beach Central Library (1000 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach 92660).
