Hurricane Harvey-What Can You Do To Help and Be Prepared

Post Date:08/28/2017 2:26 p.m.

Hurricane Harvey made landfall as a Category 4 Hurricane and has devastated the families, communities, businesses and schools in the southern region of Texas. If you are interested in contributing to the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, please donate to the American Red Cross or another charitable organization that is assisting with the relief efforts.

Although this catastrophic disaster occurred in Texas, it serves as a reminder that Newport Beach residents need to be prepared for any unexpected emergency. City personnel from all departments actively prepare for disasters and we encourage community members to join us as our Partners in Preparedness. Everyone should have a disaster preparedness kit with enough supplies for each person to last a minimum of three days to two weeks.

What can you do to prepare?
