Candidate Statement
Eight years ago you elected me to be an independent voice of reason on the Newport Beach City Council. I worked hard to honor that commitment. I intend to do that again by:
Preserving your right to vote on all General Plan Updates.
Reducing homelessness in a humane manner that expands job training, housing resources and medical treatment.
Protecting public safety through support of the Newport Beach Police Department, and endorsement of Proposition 36 to reform state laws and stop ‘smash and grab’ robberies.
Protecting and maintaining our special quality of life.
Over the past four years I have dedicated much of my time to serving on the Still Protecting Our Newport (SPON) Board, the Newport Beach Arts Foundation Board, and offered my expertise and experience to Trellis (a faith-based organization). I helped to lead the campaign against Measure B. My wife and I are active members of St. Andrews Church.
I am a 26 year full-time resident of Newport Beach. I was honored to serve as the District 5 City Councilman from 2016 to 2020. Our entire family cares deeply about our community.
I respectfully ask for your vote. Contact me: 949/922-3594.
