Candidate Statement

As a lifelong Newport Beach resident and father raising my family here, I’m running for reelection to keep our city a safe and thriving community for all. 

As an owner of several restaurants, I understand, appreciate and am committed to Newport Beach being a great place to live, work, run a small business, and, of course, dine. 

I’m grateful to have the support of our Newport Beach Firefighters, Police Officers, Orange County Sheriff Barnes, Mayor O’Neill and our entire City Council. 

Over the last four years, I’m incredibly proud of the accomplishments we achieved. Including: 

We prioritized public safety by hiring more police officers and firefighters to keep our community safe and create faster response times to your homes and businesses.

We balanced the city’s budget every year, while keeping high quality infrastructure by maintaining our harbor, roads, utilities and parks.

As your Mayor, we enacted a City ordinance to tackle homelessness and approve upon our already robust approach.

It has been an absolute privilege serving as your Mayor and Councilman.  I am committed to building on the progress we made to preserve the high quality of life we enjoy in this town.
