The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce's Green on the Green Eco Expo and the City's 10th annual Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Disaster Preparedness Expo is on Saturday, September 8 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Newport Beach Civic Center Community Room and Civic Green. The event is free and free parking is available in the parking structure.
The Green on the Green features local businesses and organizations showcasing “green” practices, innovation, products, education and more. The event is a single-use, plastic-free event that offers free electronic recycling and document shredding.
The Disaster Preparedness Expo provides those in attendance with information, tips and training on how to prepare for an unexpected disaster. Attendees will learn hands-only CPR, ways to organize your neighborhood and how to build a disaster supply kit.
