The City of Newport Beach is a full service city and provides its residents with nearly all public services, including police, fire, water, sewer, trash collection, libraries, street maintenance, traffic management, parks, infrastructure improvements and management, harbor services and marine and ocean safety. All building construction within the city is managed by the Community Development Department.
