Cable Television
The city is served by two separately-owned cable television companies. If you live on the west side of Jamboree Road (toward Huntington Beach), you are served by Time Warner. If you live on the East side (toward Laguna Beach) of Jamboree Road, you receive your cable television service from Cox Communications.
California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
Need to file a change of address for your driver's license or vehicle registration? The closest DMV office is located in Costa Mesa or visit the DMV online.

Health & Safety
The City of Newport Beach is a full-service city and provides its own police and fire services. The Newport Beach Police Department website can be accessed by visiting www.nbpd.org. For more information about the Newport Beach Fire Department, please click Fire Department.
There is one hospital within the city, Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. Its website is www.hoaghospital.org

The US Postal Service has five Newport Beach office locations*:
- Balboa Island - 206 Marine Ave.
- Balboa Peninsula - 204 Main St.
- Camelback Station (Main Newport Beach Post Office) - 1133 Camelback St.
- Corona del Mar - 406 Orchid Ave.
- Mariner's Mile - 191 Riverside Ave.

Public Schools
The Newport Mesa Unified School District is responsible for all public schools within the City of Newport Beach. For information about registering your child for school, please visit the district's website at web.nmusd.us/.
Refuse & Recycling Collection
CR&R Environmental Services provides residential refuse and recycling service to most areas of the city. For more information, please contact CR&R at 949-667-4158 or visit www.crrwasteservices.com.
Voter Registration
Change of address or name requires re-registration. Please visit www.ocvote.com to do so.
Water
Water service requests to establish or cancel service must be at least 48 hours in advance for Monday through Friday scheduling, excluding holidays. Please visit the Water Services page of the City website to establish water and sewer service.
