On September 7, 2022, beginning at 6 p.m., the City of Newport Beach Community Development Department will host a virtual community meeting to share changes that will update some of the City’s commercial parking requirements to be more in line with national standards and current best practices in the region.
A City Council study session was previously held on November 30, 2021, regarding this matter. You can view that presentation here. City staff intends to bring the matter back to City Council for additional direction, including approaches to updating restaurant parking requirements, during a study session on September 27, 2022.
