2024 Candidate's Handbook

The 2024 Candidate's Handbook for the General Municipal Election is intended to provide general information for candidates and committees, and does not have the force and effect of law, regulation or rule. It is being made available with the understanding that the City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach is not rendering legal advice and, therefore, the handbook is not to be a substitute for legal counsel for the individual, organization and candidate using it. The City Clerk strongly recommends that any prospective candidate obtain legal advice to assist in complying with applicable California laws, including the California Elections Code and California Government Code.
