GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION - NOVEMBER 5, 2024
The City Clerk is the local elections administrator and coordinates with the County of Orange in the conduct of Municipal Elections. This includes, but is not limited to, the preparation of necessary resolutions calling for General and Special Municipal Elections and declaring the result of the election, the coordination of the candidate nomination process, and the receipt and processing of initiative, referendum and recall petitions. Regular elections are consolidated with Statewide elections, scheduled on the first Tuesday following the first Monday of November of even-numbered years to fill expired City Council terms. All election services are provided according to the California Elections Code.

COUNTDOWN TO EARLY VOTINGA Vote-by-Mail ballot will be mailed to all Orange County voters starting October 7, marking the start of the voting period. On that same day, 123 ballot drop boxes will open and will remain open 24/7 through 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5. Make sure to check your registration status and visit ocvote.gov/registration to make any necessary updates before October 21.
