Accounting Division
Welcome to the Accounting Division!
The Accounting Division acts as the financial historian for the City, accounting for and reporting the results of the operation for a given period, and documenting the City's financial position at each fiscal year-end. The Accounting Division is in charge of the overall accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, and audit management functions. In this capacity, this division monitors and implements new accounting pronouncements to insure the City adheres to generally accepted accounting practices. This division also oversees several detailed accounting processes including: key internal control procedures over cash, investments, and a myriad of detailed system interfaces; general ledger maintenance; capital asset, debt, and assessment district administration; accounting for reserves, designations, grants, and other restricted sources as well as processing the City's bi-weekly payroll and preparation of payroll tax reporting and issuance of annual W-2 forms.
On this site, you should expect to find budgetary information, audited financial statements in the form of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, the audits of our Federal Financial Assistance (Single Audit) and various investor information concerning the City's long-term obligations.
