Library Lecture Hall Design Committee

Purpose
The duties and responsibilities of the Library Lecture Hall Design Committee shall be to:
- Review responses to the City's Request for Proposal for the Library Lecture Hall Project;
- Provide recommendation to the City Council for the selection of an architect;
- Coordinate and meet with the architect and City staff regarding the project; and
- Make recommendations, as needed, to the entire City Council in regards to the project.
The Design Committee shall be comprised of five members: a member of the City Council; a member of the Board of Library Trustees; a former member of the Board of Library Trustees who is a Newport Beach resident and is registered to vote in the City; a member who has demonstrable design, artistic, construction and/or development background; an additional member who meets the one of the aforementioned criteria and is a Newport Beach resident and is registered to vote in the City.
The Committee's existence shall expire and sunset without further action upon the opening of the Library Lecture Hall.

Length of Term for Members
Term of the appointed members of the Committee shall be indefinite pending City Council action.
Frequency of Meetings
