| Parks & Trees Division staff maintains the City's parks, landscape, medians, parkways, irrigation, pest mitigation and the City's urban forest. Staff also oversees contract services for park maintenance and tree trimming in addition to providing assistance on plant selection for new City projects or parks. | |
| Parks Maintenance staff is responsible for maintaining 665 acres of landscaped area. This includes 204 acres of parks, 83 acres of facility landscape and 377 acres of medians and roadsides. A combination of City staff and contract services perform the maintenance efforts. | |

Tree Division staff is responsible for the maintenance and care of the City's 35,000 trees located within the public right-of-way and on public property. This includes tree trimming, planting, root pruning, tree removal, tree inspections and specialized tree activities such as responding to fallen limbs and tree hazards. |
