Fire Medics Program
Effective January 1, 2024, the annual cost of the Paramedic Subscription Program fee will increase from $60 to $84 (from $5 to $7/mo.), per most recent Fee Schedule update and adoption of Resolution No. 2023-30 and No. 2023-31, approved by City Council on June 13, 2023.
Fire Medics Program
Fire Medic Subscription Program is a voluntary program of the Newport Beach Fire Department. Its purpose is to protect you against the unexpected cost of paramedic services and emergency ambulance transportation. Newport Beach residents and businesses with 150 employees or less are eligible for membership.

Membership Fee
Newport Beach Resident Membership
Resident membership covers the family members living at the designated property when a call for service occurs at their Newport Beach property or at any location within the Newport Beach city limits. It also covers guests or visitors of the members property when an incident occurs on the property.
Resident membership is $84 annually. For members receiving a municipal statement from the City, the fee is divided equally by the six-billing periods and paid with the bi-monthly bill (i.e., resident members are billed $14 bi-monthly). For members who do not receive a municipal statement from the City, the full-annual amount is due upon submitting an application or the member is invoiced for the full amount each January.
Newport Beach Business Membership
Business membership are for any corporation, partnership, company, business, organization or other entity with a workplace located in Newport Beach, which has an active City business license and a maximum of 150 employees. Businesses with over 150 owners and employees, cumulatively, are not eligible for the program.
The fee for business members is as follows:
- $84 standard subscription fee for business with 10 or less owners and employees.
- $25 additional charge per group of 10 owners and employees for a maximum of 150 employees (14 additional groups) and a maximum subscription fee of $434.
