The City of Newport Beach is a proud supporter of military personnel and the veterans who have served this country. As a courtesy, the City provides the below information for veteran resources and services.

County of Orange Veterans Resources

  • Veterans Service Office
    • The Orange County Veterans Service Office provides free benefit claims counseling and information and referral assistance to veterans, their dependents and survivors.

  • Behavioral Health Services
    • OC4Vets is a behavioral health program aimed at supporting military Veterans and their families in accessing needed mental health, substance use disorder, and community-based services and assistance.

  • Housing Authority
    • The OC Housing Authority provides permanent housing subsidies and case management services to homeless veterans.

  • Veterans Advisory Council
    • The VA Council advises the County Board of Supervisors on issues of importance to veterans and their dependents based on input from the veteran community; to provide a source of liaison and communication with various groups relative to veterans issues; and to promote involvement in veteran's related events and functions within the County.

Transportation

  • OASIS Senior Services Transportation
    • For Newport Beach residents, aged 60 and over who no longer drive. The OASIS Senior Services can provide transportation for a small fee for medical appointments, errands, shopping and senior center classes and programs.
    • Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
