Don Quixote for Kids

Saturday, March 25, 12 p.m., Civic Center Green

Join the gallant Don Quixote on his knightly quests across old-world Spain in Festival Ballet Theatre’s shortened rendition of this beloved ballet, based on the novel by Miguel Cervantes.

The Don Quixote ballet is an adventurous introduction to Spanish literature, music, culture, and history. Bring a picnic and your beach chairs for this special spring event. No alcohol is permitted. Parking and admission are free. This outdoor performance is supported by the City Arts Commission and will be held on the Civic Green.

Concerts at Marina Park: The 805 Social Club (The History of Pop)

The City of Newport Beach Arts Commission presents its annual Summer Concerts Series on the Green featuring an array of performers for your entertainment. Bring your low-slung beach chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening in a fun atmosphere. Pack a picnic dinner or purchase from on-site gourmet food trucks . No alcohol is permitted. 

Concerts will be held at Marina Park (1600 West Balboa Boulevard, Balboa Peninsula). Admission and parking are free, on a first come, first served basis.

 

The 805 Social Club

The History of Pop is a non-stop musical journey through the history of pop music, covering seven decades of music from the psychedelic 60s to the new wave 80s to current hits today.  Each decade is presented in a short set, introduced with an audio montage of news and pop culture sound clips to evoke the nostalgia from the era.
