NEW! Online Hybrid CERT Classes/Trainings

Our Hybrid CERT program allows participants to complete approximately 16 hours of online course instruction at their own pace, offering flexibility to fit the training into individual schedules. The online portion covers essential disaster preparedness, emergency response techniques, and safety protocols, ensuring participants gain foundational knowledge before attending the hands-on component. After finishing the online training, participants will join us for approximately 14 hours, or two days, of in-person instruction, where they will work directly with our experienced NBFD Firefighters to practice critical skills such as fire suppression, light search and rescue, disaster medical operations, and team organization. This blend of online learning and in-person practice provides an efficient and comprehensive way to become a fully trained CERT volunteer, with upcoming trainings offering the perfect opportunity to apply learned skills in a real-world setting.

You must use the following two links below and choose a program to complete. You will create your own account and register on their websites to take the hybrid course.
