Underground Utility Locating
A very important responsibility of anyone who will be digging underground, is to request that all of the underground utilities, such as water, wastewater, gas, telephone, cable, electrical, etc., be located in advance of digging. In order to request this service, you must call Underground Service Alert at 811. You will be required to provide this company with some basic information about the job. For additional information on this requirement, please contact Underground Service Alert at 811. Once requested, the City will send a locator who will identify any water, wastewater or electrical streetlight lines in the proposed area where you will be digging.
