"Moments Between Oceans" Original Photography by Scott Amling

A collage of original photography from Scott Amling of seashell still life along with shots from the nearby Balboa peninsula to settings farther away like Kauai, Hawaii and Hokkaido, Japan.

Scott Amling’s passion for photography began with his interest in architecture. His first professional camera was a Hasselblad 501CM with an 80mm lens.  Although he has attended many different photography classes, most of his experience has been through experimentation and hours of trial and error.  Many of his photos are from trips throughout the United States in Colorado, Oregon and California as well as traveling internationally to Mexico, Spain, Portugal, England, France and Greece.

The exhibition – located at the Central Library and presented by the Newport Beach City Arts Commission – will run February 13 through March 24.
