Visit the Central Library Children’s Room to explore the fascinating life cycles of butterflies and ladybugs. Let creativity take flight by painting your own mini butterfly or ladybug canvas, perfect for displaying at home, complete educational and fun interactive worksheets, and explore the children's area with our bug-themed I Spy. To help Make Way for Butterflies, don't miss the chance to receive a milkweed and wildflower seed planting kit, complete with everything you need to start your own butterfly-friendly garden. To wrap up the day, we’ll all walk together to the Civic Center Sculpture Exhibition, where we'll release our flying garden creatures into the wild and celebrate the magic of nature as we watch them take flight.
Materials are available while supplies last. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required. Ages 6-11.
