The strengths and weaknesses of data found in genealogical records, databases, and online websites are based upon the credibility, reliability, and quality of the data contained within the material. This class will explain how to classify and analyze sources, information, and evidence found in genealogical material; examine how those classifications help researchers identify and use the best quality material in their research; as well as review how to form clear and complete source citations to document the material supporting their research. This class will not include the use of Media Lab computers.
