What did you like or not like about the cover? Did the cover reflect the contents? I really liked
the cover. It was really pretty and the designs on it were really good as well as the colors. I wouldn't
say that it really reflected the story. There were a few drawings on it you could make a connection
with some part of the story but it was not majorly connected with the story.
Your review / Summary of the book that will make other teens want to read it.
If you are into fairy tales and gothic fiction and if you enjoyed the story Cinderella there is a high
chance that you will enjoy this story as well. This book is based on Cinderella; it is a dark and gothic
form of the original story. If you like books that are more slow paced and that explains the setting in
detail than this book is great for you. The author put so much detail in the story that you can almost
think you are there. So if you are into all these kind of things I would highly recommend this book to
you.
Describe the most compelling aspect of the book.
Even if I didn't really like the book I would say that the most compelling part of the book is that it's
kind of like Cinderella but a darker version of it which is interesting because it takes a story that most
people know and changes it into a different style of story. And I feel like it gives us a different aspect
of how Cinderella might have felt because the movie Cinderella was all pretty and sweet and had a
good ending but this one shows us actually the dark and unfair side of things which makes it one of
the most compelling part of the story.
Were you disappointed with the book for any reason? If so, what was disappointing?
Yes i was disappointed in the book because since it was a story based on Cinderella I thought it
would be somewhat similar to it but it was quite different even though her background does remind
us of Cinderella there isn't that really screams a princess book. Another thing that I was disappointed
in was that the book was really slow at more than a 100th page. There were only two interesting
events and they didn't even last that long. So I would say that the book in my opinion was quite
boring.
Did you finish the book? No, I didn't finish the book when I got to the 60th page. I was already not
into it but I never liked giving up a book so I persisted in reading it until I got to around the 100th
page then I gave up because I was still not into it.
How would you rate this book? I would write it a 2.5 because like I said I really couldn't get into it.
And the story I felt like it wasn't the best because it was a gothic form of Cinderella and that's just not
really what I like reading so that was one of the biggest reasons I didn't like the book.
