Update: Fourth Suspect Arrested in Residential Burglary Crew Case

A fourth suspect has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation involving a transnational organized residential burglary crime crew targeting the communities of Newport Beach and Irvine.

On January 28, 2026, the Newport Beach Police Department and Irvine Police Department arrested three adult men connected to a burglary crew suspected of targeting residential neighborhoods in Newport Beach and Irvine. Detectives continued their investigation to identify and locate a fourth suspect believed to be involved.

On February 3, 2026, the Los Angeles Police Department arrested Erick Isaac Enrique Belmar-Gallardo on multiple outstanding warrants, including a warrant issued by the Newport Beach Police Department. Belmar-Gallardo was taken into custody and is currently being held without bail at the LAPD Valley Jail.
