Changes in aircraft departure procedures from John Wayne Airport (JWA), driven by the FAA’s nationwide NexGen program, have resulted in considerable community angst and concern. Since March 2017, a series of adjustments to departure paths have occurred. At least two more may be pending. The general public needs information from aviation experts, and an open discussion on what influences the various stakeholders - including homeowners, businesses, city agencies, and schools - have on impacting changes to the benefit of residents. This meeting session is designed to provide a wealth of information to the public as well as what activities the Airport Working Group (AWG) is engaged in on behalf of the community.
