Deaths from prescription and over-the-counter drug abuse now outnumber deaths from traffic accidents; teens, as early as middle school students, are engaging in dangerous behavior.
Community Service Programs Project PATH, a project funded by the Orange County Health Agency, will present an educational workshop at the Newport Beach Central Library. The speaker will address the identification of medications, how to spot signs of abuse, law enforcement issues, and more. This is a free workshop and is open to all members of the community. No registration is required. The program will last approximately one hour.
