Each September, Newport/Mesa ProLiteracy hosts its International Literacy Day celebration. This is also the date we distribute copies of “In Our Own Words” a collection of stories, essays and poetry written by learners in our program.
If you are a learner (or a tutor with a learner) who would like to submit your own writing, the deadline for submissions for this special edition is July 31st. Please choose any topic to write about and limit the essays to 500 words for submission.
