The City of Newport Beach will host a community meeting on sober living homes, group homes, and state-licensed residential care facilities on Monday, October 11, at 6 p.m. City staff will provide an overview of the different types of facilities and a brief history of group residential uses in Newport Beach. The discussion will then turn to current or proposed legislative solutions and what else can be done to address the concerns of Newport Beach residents. Community members will be welcomed to join in this important discussion. Newport Beach City Council Members Joy Brenner, Diane Dixon and Duffy Duffield, Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris, and State Senator Dave Min and Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley are scheduled to attend.
