The Newport Beach Fire Department and the Newport Beach Fire Association are hosting a Fire Service Day on Sunday, October 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Newport Beach Fire Station #7 (20401 SW Acacia, Newport Beach) in Santa Ana Heights.
The event provides the public an opportunity to learn more about fire safety, view live demonstrations of vehicle extrications and fire scenarios, and to meet and greet Newport Beach Fire and Lifeguard personnel. There will be fire and lifeguard apparatus on display along with the department’s antique fire engine. Members of the Newport Beach Community Emergency Response Team will be on hand to provide information about the program and how you can become a volunteer. There will be plenty of photo opportunities. There will also be a children’s bounce house, face painting, fire helmets and stickers, and complimentary lunch and refreshments courtesy of the Newport Beach Firefighters’ Association.
Please note that the event will only be held at Newport Beach Fire Station #7 (20401 SW Acacia).There is ample street parking and handicap parking is available in the station’s parking lot.
