Award-Winning Violinist to Play 1689 Stradivarius in Newport
Newport Beach area music lovers will have the unique opportunity to hear Brahms and Debussy played on a 1689 Baumgartner Stradivari Violin this Sunday when the talented Krechkovsky/Loucks Duo performs in a free concert at the Newport Beach Public Library this Sunday at 3 p.m.
The Krechkovsky/Loucks Duo features talented violinist Iryna Krechkovsky and pianist Kevin Kwan Loucks. The duo has been featured throughout the world performing together at such at the Montreal Chamber Music Festival in Canada, The Great Hall at Town Hall Seattle, the Stony Brook Faculty Recital Series in New York, The Chamber Music Series at The Orange County Great Park in California, and at the Moulin d'Andé in France.
Most recently Iryna competed in the Canada Council for the Arts Instrument Bank Competition and was granted use of the coveted 1689 Baumgartner Stradivari Violin for three years as top finisher among 18 classical musicians at the competition sponsored by the Royal Conservatory in Toronto.
This event is funded by generous donations from the Friends of the Library. Admission is free. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
