City Hall Closure for Moving

  • Date: -

Newport Beach City Hall will move from its current location at 3300 Newport Boulevard to its new location at 100 Civic Center Drive (near Coast Highway and Avocado) in early April.

To accommodate the move, City Hall will be closed from Friday, April 5 through Wednesday, April 10. All City Hall offices and public counters will be closed during this period. The City’s libraries, recreation centers, OASIS Senior Center, fire stations, police headquarters and the Municipal Operations Department will be open regular business hours.

A critical component of the move involves relocating the City’s data center. The City’s servers will be offline from 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 through the morning of Friday, April 5. During this time, the City’s website, email system, phone system and online services will not be available. Once the data center is restored, customers will once again be able to access online services and the City website to view meetings and agendas, pay bills, register for recreation classes, reserve library books, and more.

Please note that although all online systems are expected to be fully restored by the end of the day on April 5, City Hall staff members will not have access to their desktop computers, telephones and other technology until move-in is completed and all equipment is connected.

City Hall staff will report to work during the closure period to unpack and prepare the new building.

City Hall will reopen at its new location on Thursday, April 11 at 7:30 a.m.
