City Council Regular Meeting - New Council Chambers

Council Meetings will be held in the new City Council Chambers at the Civic Center and Park location.  The official site address is 100 Civic Center Drive which is located at the intersection of Farallon Ave and Avocado Ave (the address is very new and will not show up on any mapping application).

We know the community is as excited to see the new buildings as we are to make this first step of the move into our new home.  However, if you are planning on attending the meeting, there are a few important items to consider:

  • The 450-space parking structure (places for bikes too) will be open, but seating is limited to 150 inside in the Chambers.  If weather cooperates, we can put extra seats on the covered patio outside the Chambers (don't forget to bring your jacket).
  • While the parking structure and Council Chambers will be open, the rest of the buildings, park and trails are not yet ready for the public (it is still an active construction site).  We will not be able to give tours or allow folks anywhere beyond the parking structure and Council Chambers.  Police Explorers will be on the site to help guide you to where you need to go.
  • The meeting will be broadcast live on NBTV (channels 3, 30 & 852) and streamed live and replayed on the website.
  • This is not the Civic Center grand opening. An event is being planned for the spring that will give everyone the chance to tour all components of the new civic center and park areas.
