The Newport Beach Public Library is pleased to have Robin Preiss Glasser, recently named “Illustrator of the Year” by the Children’s Book Council for her book “Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid” at the Central Library on Sunday, June 9 for a special program.
Ms. Glasser, who lives in Irvine, is best know for illustrating the popular Fancy Nancy series of books written by Jan O'Conner. A selection of books will be available for purchase and signing at the event through The Whale of a Tale Bookshoppe. Refreshments will also be served. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis, limited by room capacity of 200.
The program is part of the Newport Beach Public Library Foundation’s Making Memories for Children program. Making Memories for Children is designed to engage, educate and inspire children ages 5-12, through a series of memorable creative programs sponsored by the Newport Beach Public Library Foundation.
