International Coastal Cleanup Day Celebration

Newport Beach, California 92663 - Introduction: The public is invited to join the International Coastal Cleanup Day Celebration on Saturday, September 21 from noon to 5 p.m. at Marina Park, 1600 W. Balboa Blvd.
The public is invited to join the International Coastal Cleanup Day Celebration on Saturday, September 21 from noon to 5 p.m. at Marina Park, 1600 W. Balboa Blvd.
The event, hosted by the Newport Harbor Underwater Cleanup in partnership with the City, will include live music, food trucks, vendors and a variety of environmental exhibits.
Newport Beach Mayor Will O'Neill is scheduled at 2 p.m. to recognize the efforts of environmental groups and participants in the underwater cleanup taking place earlier that day. On Saturday morning, nearly 200 certified scuba divers will be diving at various locations in the harbor to remove sunken trash.
The last harbor underwater cleanup event removed about 5,000 pounds of debris from Newport Harbor.
